Collin County Master Gardeners' McKinney Garden Show, Part 2

Yesterday I told you about some of the clubs, groups, nurseries, and our favorite store, Diggin' It, and today we are going to talk about some food, soap, and several artists!

"Garden Show 2015 12" (Luscombe Farm) - McKinney, Texas
First up is food!  There were several booths related to different foods, but I stopped at Luscombe Farm Specialty Foods to try some of their award winning pepper jellies.  Oh my jelly goodness!  Shh, don't tell Janice, but I know she loves spicy food, so I got her a jar of their best seller, Sweet Fire Confetti.  Luscombe Farm's jellies can be found for sale in various stores in downtown McKinney, but also in use at several restaurants as well.
"Garden Show 2015 13" (Susan's Soaps & More) - McKinney, Texas
My next stop was Susan's Soaps and More.  I got a sample of the lavender sage soap, it smells SO good!!!  You can find a diverse list of products, from soaps and body washes, to shampoos and lip balms.
"Garden Show 2015 14" (Lavender Ridge Farms - McKinney, Texas
Speaking of lavender, Lavender Ridge Farms was there again with their oh so wonderful smelling booth!

They have a huge range of products, including lavender honey, lavender tea, dried lavender, lavender oil, soap, body wash, and so much more!!!  I am hoping to take a trip out sometime when everything is in bloom and get some photographs, we'll see if I can make it happen!
"Garden Show 2015 16" (Barris Pottery) - McKinney, Texas
Our first artist is actually a husband a wife team, Rosie and Mark of Barris Pottery.

They create a range of fun characters that you can hang or having hanging out inside or outside the house.  As you can see I have a little bit of a thing for flying pigs...and frogs, and bees, and lady bugs, and...
"Garden Show 2015 18" (JL Glass Designs) - McKinney, Texas
I met another husband and wife team, Jeff and Linda of JL Glass Designs, who create these beautiful pieces of glass art.

Not only do they create the more traditional stained glass windows, but they also fused glass pieces!
"Garden Show 2015 20" (Leaf Expressions) - McKinney, Texas
And last up, our friend John Hunt of Leaf Expressions was back again this year!
"Garden Show 2015 21" (Leaf Expressions) - McKinney, Texas
John's had a busy year and his website isn't finished yet, but he can be reached via e-mail at info@leafexpressions.com or you can visit his booth at the Dallas Arboretum's Artscape, April 25th and 26th, with member only preview day on April 24th.

John had several of his signature ginkgo pieces, which I love, but he also had a new series where he used paper punches to cut smaller versions of, for example, maple leaves out of the larger maple leaf.  I was very taken with this one, but I ended up with a vintage botanical print of a white poppy instead because I have a thing for poppies too.  I have a lot of "things."
