Coming This Week - It Was a Weekend of Shows

First, I hope that you all had a wonderful Labor Day!  Labor Day always seemed like the last hooray of summer, though if you live anywhere in the southern United States then you know it's summer weather pretty much up until November.  I figured, based on the name, that the holiday had something to do with workers, but was more focused on enjoying that three day holiday.  I did a little research and Labor Day is, in fact, a holiday celebrating workers, specifically it "is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country."  (United States Department of Labor)  So cheers to all of the sung and mostly unsung heroes who built this country by the sweat of their brows, the innovations of their dreams, and the determination in their hearts.  And to everyone today who continues this glorious tradition and works towards making this country and the world a better place to live!

Now let's talk about this week: I had a laborious weekend and went to not one but two different shows and I'm excited to tell you about both!  We're going to be talking about musicals and photography, so check back for some singing and photo shooting.
