A Father's Day Feast

My dad's Father's Day didn't exactly start out as planned.  First his plan to enter his corvette in the Morning Maniacs car show fell apart because the battery was completely dead.  My parents' backup plan was to have breakfast at a new breakfast and lunch spot in McKinney, unfortunately apparently there were several other people with the same plan and mom and dad ended up waiting for over 30 minutes.  The food was great, so things were starting to look up, and they got even better that evening.

Pepper and I headed over that evening to spend some time with dad on his special day (and to take advantage of mom and dad's giant yard and the opportunity to run around like a loon...The loony runner was Pepper, in case you weren't certain).
Dad decided that he wanted pork tenderloin and grilled vegetables for dinner.
So Mom chopped up some potatoes and broccoli and we sauteed up some onions and mushrooms...
We threw the tenderloin and the veggies on the grill (about 15 minutes for the pork before it was pulled off to rest, and the vegetables were left on the grill while we finished sauteing the onions and mushrooms.
What's a delicious dinner without a drink...
And the best part of the meal...dessert!
Mom trying to get all of the dogs to pose by the dog cabana had to be one of the most amusing fails of the day.  Even with the rough start dad said he had a great day.  How did your Father's Day go, any memorable mishaps?
